It is quite interesting to see a line test promo and it's full rendered version that gave birth to the Batman animated series. It surprises me how different the first design was from the final work, and what good animation scenes they produced for this piece. It is also interesting to see the complex the render and mood they applied to the promo, which was, probably due to budget issues, changed to simpler solutions for the series.
It reminds me a bit of Fleischers' Superman.
